I did some audience research by asking several people what they thought would be the audience of my media product would be and why. Their responses are shown in this video.  I thought this would be an appropriate way to determine whether or not my product was suited to the audience it was intended for.

Magazine contents Draft 4

This is the 4th draft of my contents page with my Editors note added and social media platform symbols added in.

Double page spread draft 3

This is the third draft of my double page spread,  a new image taken using green screen has been added, I have challenged convention with the title opting for two different size texts to show that the larger text is more important. The outline for the main body of text has been added but on the fourth draft I need to write and add in the actual interview.

Contents draft 3

This is the third draft of my contents page, after having looked back over my style model I have more accurately followed and in some cases added/changed conventions. The colour scheme has been changed the same as with the front cover to make the text clear and visible. The actual contents have been split into subsections with their page numbers listed at the sides and as Kerrang often do, I have opted for one main image however they usually show some kind of advertisement with their image whereas my main image is linked to the main article. I have put the page number on the bottom as well as three logos of successful social media sites showing the audience that the magazine is available on more than one platform . On the fourth draft I need to add an editors note.

Magazine Cover Draft 3 and 4

 This is the third draft of my magazine, the improvements needed were more clear text, bigger main image and also the blank space needed filling. The space at the bottom and top of the page needed to have banners.

This is the fourth draft with colour scheme changed in order to make the text clearer, also I added a white outline to the text that was on a black background to make it stand out so that it is visible from a distance, if it were on a shelf in a shop the target audience would be more likely to see it and be attracted to it. The size of the main image has been increased because after having looked over my style model (kerrang) I realised in the second draft it was far too small. In this fourth draft the banners have been added and in-keeping with kerrang the top banner has names of famous rock bands to be featured in the magazine.

These are a range of practice shots I have taken in preparation for taking the final shots on green screen. I have experimented with different angles inspired by several style models I have looked at shown below.

Draft 2 of main task magazine

These are the 2nd drafts of my main task. the image on the front cover needs replacing with an image which better addresses the audience and the text needs replacing with the actual text for my magazine. the contents page needs images and the orientation of it needs sorting. the double page spread needs a main image and text. the font on all pages needs to be changed to my chosen font (broken type).
